Welcome to Her and Her Collective

This brand started with one simple idea:
What if we could spot each other without saying a word?

As a femme-tomboy lesbian who didn’t grow up hitting gay bars or rocking rainbow flags, I wanted a way to express who I was — to attract who I was into — without having to explain it, label it, or tone it down. Just cool, cheeky clothing that quietly says:
I’m on the team.
And maybe… Are you?

So I started designing for people like me — lesbians who love women, love fashion, and love a little innuendo. No rainbows required. Just smart, sapphic style that stands out to the right people and flies under the radar with the rest.

But Her and Her quickly became more than a clothing line.
It became a connection point, a conversation starter, and a spark for something much bigger.

Because behind every woman wearing one of our tees is a story — a journey.
For so many of us, growing up queer meant navigating confusion, silence, or spaces where we didn’t always feel seen. And that’s why Her and Her Collective exists: to bring our community together in ways that feel natural, playful, authentic, and deeply meaningful.

From our clothing, to our meet-ups, to our new Letters to Our Younger Selves project, everything we create is rooted in the same purpose:

  • To help lesbians recognise each other
  • To build real connection and belonging
  • To celebrate our stories — both the joyful and the tough
  • And to remind each other that we’re never alone on this journey

Her and Her is a signal.
A wink.
A vibe.
And now, it’s a growing community shaped by the voices and stories of women everywhere.

Welcome — we’re so glad you’re here. Let’s build something beautiful together.

About us

Her + Her Co. started with one simple idea: What if we could spot each other without saying a word?

Her + Her Co. started with one simple idea:
What if we could spot each other without saying a word?

Growing up, I didn’t spend time in gay bars or wear rainbows on my chest. Instead, I spent years feeling out of place without knowing why. I was bullied in Year 8 for being “different” before I even had language for my identity. I lost friends. I changed schools. I learned to shrink myself. And for a long time, I dated boys just to blend in — to stay safe, to survive.

But that quiet discomfort never left. Not until her.
That first soft kiss from a girl I wasn’t even allowed to call mine — that’s when everything shifted. Even then, I didn’t know where I belonged. Feminine lesbians like me — and the ones I was drawn to — often lived unseen. There were no spaces made for us, no easy way to say I’m into women without coming right out and saying it. No subtle signals. No shared language.

So I created one.

I hope our shirts and this community help you stand a little taller, love yourself a little deeper, and feel connected to something beautiful that already includes you.

Letters to Our Younger Selves

A space for words we needed — and words someone else might still be waiting for.

Not everyone grows up seeing themselves reflected back.

For many lesbians, figuring out who we are happens quietly — in bedrooms, in notebooks, in late‑night searches, in moments of wondering “is there anyone else like me?” Even as representation has grown, many of us still move through the world without feeling fully seen, safe, or understood.

Letters to Our Younger Selves exists to gently change that.

This initiative is a growing collection of real letters written by lesbians, for lesbians. Each letter is addressed to a younger version of ourselves — or to anyone standing in that same uncertain place — offering the reassurance, honesty, softness, and courage we once needed.

Why this matters

Representation isn’t just about being visible. It’s about knowing you’re not alone.

When stories are shared, they become signals — quiet reminders that others have felt this way too. That confusion can soften into clarity. That fear can coexist with hope. That choosing yourself is possible, even if it takes time.

Every letter adds to a collective archive of lived experience. Together, they help build a world where lesbians can recognise themselves earlier, feel safer sooner, and move through life with a little less doubt.

What these letters can be

Letters might be:

  • Reassuring, gentle, and full of care
  • Honest about fear, confusion, or internalised shame
  • Reflective, humorous, or quietly proud
  • About coming out — or choosing not to
  • About love, loss, joy, or becoming yourself

There is no right tone. No right ending. No expectation to have everything figured out.

An invitation — only if you’re ready

Sharing your story is entirely optional.

If you ever feel ready, you’re invited to write a letter to your younger self — knowing it may one day be read by someone who needs those words just as much as you once did.

You don’t need to be brave. You don’t need to be polished. You don’t need to share anything you’re not comfortable with.

Your words can remain anonymous. Your boundaries will always be respected.

Building representation together

At Her + Her Collective, we believe community is built through subtle connection — through recognising ourselves in one another.

Letters to Our Younger Selves is one way we quietly build that representation: through shared stories, lived truth, and collective care.

Thank you for being here. Thank you for existing. And thank you — whether you write a letter or simply read one — for being part of something that reminds us we were never alone.
